2008 Pitt Football Schedule Pitt will be hosting one of its most attractive schedules in recent memory - a six-game slate at Heinz Field that includes the best of the Big East as well as intriguing non-conference foes. Dates and times are subject to change.

The Panthers' 2008 home opponents are:

  • West Virginia: The Backyard Brawl, one of college football's most historic and intense rivalries

  • Rutgers: The resurgent Scarlet Knights are seeking a fourth consecutive bowl in 2008

  • Louisville: The Cardinals annually challenge for top honors in the Big East and nationally

  • Iowa: Pitt's first game with the traditional Big Ten power in 56 years

  • Bowling Green: Pitt opens the new season against the perennial Mid-American Conference challenger

  • Buffalo: The 2007 co-champion of the MAC's East Division

For those renewing seats in donor-based seating areas, please remember that your contribution for the 2007 football season tickets must be paid in full received by the Panther Club office no later than June 30, 2008.

Season tickets are available for sale online, by calling the Panthers Ticket Office at 800.643.PITT, or by visiting the Panthers Ticket Office located in the Petersen Events Center. The Panthers Ticket Office is open from 8:30am to 5:00pm on Monday through Friday.

Deadline for Renewals
Football season ticket renewals deadline is Monday, March 31, 2008.

  5. Select "Register Now" and enter your customer number and PIN number (located above your address on your renewal form)
  6. Complete your account registration page. Once this is complete you will be able to view your 2008 Football Season Ticket application

    Helpful Online Renewal Hints
    If you have renewed online before, your online account is already linked to our system so you DO NOT need your pin number.

    If you forgot your password, please try our "Forgot Password" option online. Your password will automatically be sent to your email address that is linked to your online account. If you still need assistance, contact the Panthers Ticket Office at 800.643.PITT.

    If you have changed email addresses, the system will still recognize your old email address until you change it online. Once you log in with your old email address and password, you may update your account with your new email address.

    If you want to pay via credit card, you must change your payment option on the payments screen to "Credit Card". The renewal form is set up to default to the "E-check" (electronic check) payment option.

    If you renew online via electronic check or credit card, you will save $10 off your handling fee. The offer is no longer valid after March 31, 2008. If you have any questions while renewing online, please contact the Panthers Ticket Office at 800.643.PITT.

    Payment Information
    You may renew your tickets online, by phone, or by traditional mail with appropriate payment to the Panthers Ticket Office, or in person at the Panthers Ticket Office. Payment can be made by check, cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or electronic check. University of Pittsburgh Faculty/Staff and UPMC employees may qualify for the payroll deduction plan. Pitt faculty and staff and UPMC employees interested in payroll deduction should contact the Panthers Ticket Office at 412.648.PITT or 800.643.PITT.



    Pitt and UPMC Faculty and Staff
    Pitt and UPMC Faculty and Staff receive a 20% discount on any season ticket through May 30, 2008. To realize your Pitt Faculty and Staff Discount please click here, complete and submit your contact information, and a Panthers Ticket Sales Specialist will contact you directly.     Undergraduate Tickets
  • Student season ticket (1 per student)
  • 6 game season ticket package $25
  • Student season tickets will be sold exclusively online through www.pittsburghpanthers.com
    NOTE: Internet Explorer must be used throughout online purchasing process.
  • Valid University of Pittsburgh ID required
  • Season tickets will be mailed to permanent address in July
  • It is anticipated that the student section will be sold out on a season ticket basis
  • If available, single-game tickets will be sold the week of each home game at the Petersen Events Center for $10 each
  • If available, student buddy/guest passes will be available the week of each game to student season ticket holders only for $5 each

    Note: *Season tickets will be mailed in July. Please make sure to select appropriate mailing address when placing order. **Only full-time students enrolled during the 2008 Fall Term will be eligible to receive a student season ticket (excluding University of Pittsburgh and UPMC employees).

    Online Ordering Instructions (must use Internet Explorer)

    9. Choose the student season package, verify contact information, and enter payment information.




  • Graduate and Professional Student Tickets

  • Graduate and Professional students have the option of purchasing one (1) student season ticket at $25 dollars in the general student section or up to two (2) Club Season Tickets at $99 per season ticket in the Graduate and Professional Student Section (205). No Panther Club Athletic Scholarship Fund contribution is required).
  • Graduate and professional students must purchase tickets at the Petersen Events Center with ID.

    Student Shuttle Service
  • Student shuttle service will begin three (3) hours prior to the kickoff time.
  • Shuttle buses will board on Bigelow Blvd. located between the William Pitt Union and the Cathedral of Learning.
  • Shuttle buses will drop-off at the Clemente Bridge on the North Shore
  • At the conclusion of the first Quarter, shuttle buses will begin to travel back to Oakland and will do so continuously throughout the game.
  • To return to Oakland shuttle buses will board on Reedsdale Street near Gate B of Heinz Field.
  • Shuttle buses located on General Robinson Street only depart after the conclusion of the game.

    Student Parking
  • Student parking reservation forms can be picked-up and completed at the William Pitt Union Ticket Office beginning the Wednesday prior to each home game.
  • The William Pitt Union Ticket Office is open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
  • Limited student parking reservation forms are available and are distributed on a first come basis.
  • All students are required to present a valid Pitt Student I.D. and a valid game ticket to be eligible for student parking.
  • The following information is also required upon registration for student parking: Vehicle make and model, Vehicle year, Vehicle Color, Vehicle License Plate Number, State in which the vehicle is registered

    Student Entrance to Heinz Field
  • The Student entrance at Heinz Field is located at Gate C and will open two hours prior to kick-off.
  • All students are required to show their Student ID in addition to a valid game ticket.

    SEASON PARKING:
    Advance purchases of parking for football is available on a season basis only. Parking permits for the 2008 football season are $60. Patrons wishing to purchase football season parking must be a football season ticket holder. Patrons wishing to request preferred season parking must be a football season ticket holder and a Panther Club member. If you wish to purchase new or additional parking, please note on your application or on your online application. The Panthers Ticket Office re-allocates football parking every year. Parking assignments will be based upon annual giving levels, the Panther Club Priority Points System and then by order date.

    ACCESSIBLE PARKING:
    Patrons requesting accessible parking must be a season ticket holder and are required to provide proof of need annually (For example, a copy of a state-issued accessible placard). Accessible parking will be allocated using the Panther Club Priority Points System and then by order date.

    DESIGNATED DROP-OFF AREAS:
    There are two accessible drop-off areas for your convenience: the intersection of Art Rooney Avenue and Reedsdale Street at the Northeast corner by Gate B, and off of North Shore Drive at the Southwest Corner, directly across from the Carnegie Science Center.

    SINGLE-GAME PARKING:
    Single game parking is available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the game from attendants with availability. For more information, please contact the Panthers Ticket Office at 412.648.PITT or 800.643.PITT.

    BUS AND MOTOR HOME PARKING:
    There will be limited bus or motor home parking for the 2008 football season. Information will be posted on our website when available.

    SHUTTLE SERVICES:
