SPOKANE, Calif. - The Pitt women's basketball team will take on No. 4-ranked Stanford Saturday at 11:30 p.m. EST in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament at Spokane Arena.

The sixth-seeded Panthers (24-10) will take part in their first-ever Sweet 16 as they face the second-seeded Cardinal (32-3) in the Spokane Regional. Pitt is now 3-1 in NCAA Tournament games with just two appearances.

Pitt earned its Sweet 16 appearance with wins over Wyoming in the first round and No. 3 seed Baylor in the second round of the tournament in Albuquerque, N.M.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2HD with Dave Pasch, Debbie Antonelli and Heather Cox calling the game. The winner of the Pitt vs. Stanford game will meet up with the winner of the Maryland vs. Vanderbilt contest.

All games of the NCAA Tournament will be broadcast live on www.pittsburghpanthers.com as a part of All Access or locally on the radio at FOX Sports Radio 970 AM with Greg Linnelli, Mike Clark and Jen Tuscano calling the action.
