Veteran's Hospital Group Projects: Visits to hospitalized veterans; assist in special events such as bingo and ice cream socials

Boys and Girls Club: Mentoring; special events and visits on campus

Children's Hospital: Meet patients in the Teen Lounge to play games, or make bed side visits with a Child Life staff person. Host a patient at a home football game.

Panthers Pen Pals: Panthers student-athletes send positive messages and advice to local elementary school children as pen pals

Speakers at Local Schools: Schools often ask student-athletes to speak at meetings, assemblies, and classes.

School Reading Program: Schools often ask student-athletes to speak to elementary school students about the importance of reading, and ask them to read a book to the class.

Clean Up Oakland: Assist our local community and represent out University.

There are over 100 additional volunteer activities (such as Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers and Sisters) available to teams or individuals through the Student Affairs office. To get more information or to schedule an activity for individuals or teams, please call Dan Bartholomae at 648-8452.
