Schriever Earns Google Cloud Academic All-America® Honors

Junior Owns 3.93 GPA as Chemical Engineering Major
PITTSBURGH – Pitt junior Gillian Schriever has been named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-America® third team for women's cross country/track & field, as announced Thursday.
Selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.
The first honor of her career. Schriever earned Google Cloud Academic All-District® 2 first team honors in May. She is one of four female student-athletes from the ACC recognized as Academic All-Americans.
Schriever owns a 3.93 cumulative grade point average as a chemical engineering major while competing in both track & field and cross country. In November 2017, Schriever earned NCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors for cross country for the second consecutive season, placing 16th. The Tuckerton, N.J., native helped the helped lead the Panther women to their best team finish at the meet in school history, as the squad took fifth. She was the Panthers' top finisher at all meets in which she competed, including the ACC Cross Country Championships, where she took 36th. On the track, Schriever is an All-American in the 10,000m, where she set a school record at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a time of 33:50.03.
